Sea Shepherd has been on a mission to protect the wildlife, including the critically endangered vaquita, in the Upper Gulf of California since the first Operation Milagro Campaign in 2015. Since then, enough illegal netting, if stretched out side-by-side, has been pulled from the Gulf’s Sea of Cortez to reach space!
Sea Shepherd and our friends at Planet Love Life have turned some of these nets retrieved during Operation Milagro IV into beautiful, handcrafted bracelets. Each piece of salvaged rope is unique with slight variations in color and condition, caused by natural weathering. Each bracelet bears a name representing an animal found in the region.
All nets in the Milagro Collection were pulled from the Sea of Cortez in the Upper Gulf of California by Sea Shepherd crewmembers.
