Sea Shepherd will be in the Gulf to help marine animals affected by the oil spill as long as we are able, and we will be exercising appropriate pressure on BP and all authorized agencies to accept our and other help from the private sector. The Gulf Oil Spill has become one of the most devastating environmental catastrophes in U.S. history.
Our campaign logo shows animals of the Gulf bathed in sheens of oil seeping from the ocean floor. The white cross symbol with our Jolly Roger logo inset indicates the assistance that Sea Shepherd is going to try to provide to animals that are suffering. The word rescue is in red to indicate the urgency of this situation.
